Having had a few unsavoury experiences with taxi drivers.....the fully legal taxi drivers.....I am actually beginning to feel very very unsafe in Doha. Has anyone else ever experienced horrible dirty taxi drivers???

With all due respect to the OP.. Are we talking sexual harrassment ? if so, then why was it not reported..

AlHamdulillah! But yeah I know many people have. Guess it's upon each victim to make sure their case is heard in whatever way possible, and report the culprits asap.

seat belts were not in proper working conditions, Smoke.

well, then. i have a lot to learn about customer service here. back in malaysia, singapore and thailand, when a person is seen struggling with three luggages, many would come to his/ her help.

Aww purplerain why didnt you wear your seat belt? No one really helps with luggage unless you ask them to. Since you are new here you have a lottt to learn about Qatar's customer service :) Its best to experience them on your own and then come post it for our reading pleasure here :)

This is not the first time a lady is complaining against a taxi driver in Doha..I have heard similar complaints earlier as well. One of my known QLers, an american lady, who happened to be living single in Doha, was proposed by taxi drivers for one night stands. The funny part is, one of the drivers wanted to earn a buck out of it as well..rofl.

.....can get rid of the scums. If you stay silent, nothing will change, it will just get worse.

Good Day .. Nobody is supposed to behave in a bad way .. specially from the service sector.

What happened actually ?

Hello,

Is in your hands to stop this by escalating your problem and mention it on the local press. Actually, this country goes by laws and if there is a law/penalties to stop them from those actions I think would be great. Secure yourself and secure other females, tell the story to the media!

Stay Safe!

Mo!

Why don’t u report to police when you have bad experiences?

Write down the car number and report to police immediately, at least you can stop one of the drivers doing this

I think it is best to write about this issue to the newspapers. Unless some drivers are taken action against, nothing really is gonnna change.

It is better to arrange for your private transpo which usually hang around the filipino souk.

They are good and nice once, better than Karwa.
