Teaching in Qatar

Hi. I used to teach at a school in Doha. I moved back to the UK to give birth and now I wish to return to Qatar to teach again. I will be returning as single with one dependent (I am married but husband can't come yet).

I want to get the best teachers package out there. I will need to pay for nursery fees etc. where should I apply. Which are the best schools and what are their packages like?

Also what's the likelihood of being offered a job in my situation. Will I get sponsorship for my littleone (1yr old)

Any advice appreciated.

(I could go back to my old school but the pay is low!)
Thanks

Divorced or married, she needs the father´s permission to bring the child to Qatar, that is what I mean :D

Super, it is clear you already worked in Qatar so you know how it is. The demand is high and you got lots of points in your favour. You did not answer if you are married or single, that might influence the contract negotiations as well...

Yeah... good luck.

Apply for positions, evaluate packages according to your needs. What we tell you is not necessarily what the schools might offer, no matter what our friend or we personally might know.

I know from many people that have done what you do, but I would not take an offer being in Qatar, rather negotiate it from abroad.

Passport , skin/eyes colour and accent will make a difference.

NO KIDDING.

Wow, your child is too young... what do you mean by sponsorship? And you got to have the AGREEMENT of the father... because as you know the man is king overhere. Are you planning to return as single or married? I am not sure you can go back as a single mother... but I have heard of divorcees that have managed (not teachers, though).

I know from many people that have done what you do, but I would not take an offer being in Qatar, rather negotiate it abroad.

All best wishes...
