How to Get a Birth Certificate for New Born Baby

-Get the stamped intimation letter from the hospital where the baby was born

-Go to Hamad Hospital - Women's Hospital 3rd Floor. Its situated in Al Sadd, opposite Lulu centre with following documents:

-Fill in the Supreme Health Council Birth Registration Form (u can get it from the hospital where the baby was born or at the ecounter of hamad hospital)

Now Go to Women's Hospital in Hamad Hospital - Ground Floor.

Go to the Male or Female Cashier, as applicable

-Submit this Form and Get the HMC Registration number from the Cashier at Ground Floor if the baby is not born in Hamad Hospital

Now Go to the 3rd Floor with all these documents
-Original Passports of Father an mother and their copies
-Copies of Resident Permits of both parents
-Qatari IDs of Father and mother and their copies
-Originial Marriage Certificate but its not mandatory i guess, in case, your spouse has an RP.
-Debit or Credit Card to pay fee
-If parent(s) are on visit visa, then copy of the visa
-Hamad Medical Card, if you have it

The fee is QAR 20. However if you want more than one Stamped copy, its 20/copy. U can request as many as you want.

After you submit the application, it usually takes 3 - 6 days to get the Birth Certificate.

Make sure you duly and correctly fill the application form and write down the baby's name and your personal details correctly and clearly.

New born birthcertificate can be done at multiple location

1. Sidra hospital

2. Doha clinic salwa road

3. Al khor

4. Dukhan

5. Cuban hospital

Go with in 10 dayz of birth

Ask for a form

Fill it , attach mother and father passport copy and id copy , take child book given at discharge with you .

Also take photo copy of

Same book back cover with child detail , and blood group page with in .

Attested marriage certificate copy

Submit above , lady at counter will ask you how many copy each extra copy will cost 20 rial , it 2ill take 5 mnt to enter data . Your chikd birthcertificate is ready with card like original certifivmcate and copy of same . You can ask as many copy u need , all copies will be attested and given to you .

Now your child has birthcerti ficate.

* ensure you fill in passport data of mother and fatehr

* check all spellings again before she print or you leave from center

In Case Husband & wife are under different sponsor

Please Note.

Baby birth certificate are given at CID salwa Road

there you will have to fill up one form at 2nd floor, In The form you have to mention i need 2 months for completeing transfer & than it can be extended again for further for 2 months at the same office.

in case you will not b able to do the above you have to send your wife & child back.( Qatar Law)

And be sure of your baby's name, once it is submitted/registered you can't change it easily.

For the change its a long and lengthy process requires lot of approvals, giving a post in newspaper etc.

so make sure u and ur wife are both happy of ur baby's name :)
