Adoption / fostering?

Hi

We have been married for over 10 years and by the will of the Almighty, have been unable to conceive.

Is it possible to adopt/ foster children here in Qatar?
What about adoption from Palestine or Syria?

I would appreciate any POSITIVE responses.

Hey, it's a great idea but I'm not sure about it in Qatar because as per my knowledge in Islam you cannot adopt, but I'm sure that in Lebanon you can do it,

if you are interested, go to Lebanon & adopt a Palestine or Syrian refugee child

Just a little clarification about Islam. In Islam you CAN adopt child. In fact, it is one of the most noble act to adopt and take care of orphans. Our prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did so as well and his adopted son was Hazrat Zaid (R.A.).

What is not allowed in Islam is to change the lineage of the child and give him/her your name as father & mother.

I don't know about rules in Qatar; I think you should check this with your P.R.O.

May Allah bless you for this act.

I just want to say 'Bless you' for thinking of fostering/adopting. it is a great thing to do and I wish you every blessing and success. I am afraid that I cannot offer any specific advice about Qatar but wanted to say Bless You Both.
