i have been posting my problem over the last 4 months ,which is simply a work visa with a status under process and expiry date 4/1/2013 .And after almost 4 months of waiting and asking, the PRO stated that my visa is hold by CID for unknown reasons, neither rejected nor accepted.
i do not know what to do ,but it's so frustrating ....

we had the same problem..me and my husband was block-listed by the CID..at first we don't know y? but after few weeks we knew what the reason behind...it's all because I had delivered my baby in HAMAD and HMC reported me to the police that I am still single in their record, but im already married...CID wants me to transfer my IQAMA automatically under my husband sponsorship...my husband's iqama couldn't renew as long as my visa is not approved...

it was a long process..but we are almost done now...we had too much patience to dealt with this kind of situation :)

patience is the KEY with Govt departments.

I didn't know God worked for CID. I thought it was if CID wants it will be given to you. You learn something new everyday.

Work visa was issued. Fine but it has to be processed as residence visa. Certain job categories need approval from CID. Those job positions are reserved for their nationals. Better luck next time. If GOD wants it will be given to you.

One of our employee had the same problem, they wont stamp the visa and also they wont tell you the reason ... and they just told us to demobilize him immediately. . . sad but its true .

Sometimes it take too much time as they used to do a background check up.

Just wondering, what are the countries you have visited so far?

Visa held by CID? Seems funny! If there are problems your visa will not be issued. I think your PRO is giving you a reason to keep you quite.

By GodFather.• 4 Dec 2012 07:47
GodFather.

Do they need to give a reason?

They don't have to give reasons and how they operate is a mystery
