Hi Guys,
Has anyone been to the Murkami Ego Exhibition? It was held in Al Riwaq Hall from 9th Feb. - 25th June? I would really like to know your opinion, comments, suggestions, what you thought of the exhibition.

If you knew about it but didnt go to see it, tell me why?

I am doing my graduation essay on this exhibition and would like to know what the public thought about.

Thanks All :)

went there twice. my favorites were those that seem like traditional japanese paintings, the ones with the dragons in all red and all blue.

i liked the long mural with the old men too. as for kaikai and kiki, as well as the animations, i'm sort of used to this concept in watching japanese anime so i've seen more interesting things as far as i'm concerned.

i also liked his self portraits and the realistic giant balloon sculpture of himself.

got the brochures with pics of the artwork and while the exhibition itself was one colorful feast, the printed colors were dull so they did not do justice to the originals. i wished they could've gotten better printers as we cannot take pics of the works inside.
