I know many students on visit visa, but their resident's visa is under process.

You may apply your son's admission in a school with an under taking. I hope they'll consider the situation!

they have changed the rules recently with regards to females who deliver their baby here and their husbands are not residents of Qatar. The newborn will not be issued a visa.

UkEngQatar - yes i think so even now its possible if the rules havn't changed.....bcoz i had my first delivery from Hamad Hospital....i had my parents thr nd husband in uae RP without even him being available during the entry time or delivery time.....and i had my birth certificate for the kid right 5th day after delivery and was issued a passport....but one drawback was i had to take visa for him from the day i was present in doha(He wasn't even born that time - god knows why that rule but it was implemented for all in visit visa).....and all his vaccinations wre compltly free coz they said they dont charge for vaccinations except if any other like incase i need to consult any doctor i need to pay extra lil more......but i had a good experience anyhow......

mohhas75 - Does shantiniketan allow now allow....i mean i wont be getting an RP anywa coz i will be goin bk to my husband. And another thing is that we stay in Mesaieed....so transportation everythng will hv to be considered.....anywayz thanks for ur reply, it helped me, now i can atleast go there and checkout

GodFather.

Sorry to ask but can you deliver your Baby in Qatar if your on a Visit Visa? Wont that cause some problems getting a Birth Certificate! Plus will you be able to get Medical treatment if your on a Visit visa or are all the cost going to be borne by your medical Insurance!
