It's not everyday an eagle tries to snatch a child from the ground. But that's exactly what happened in Montreal.

the video posted on Tuesday shows the majestic eagle flying in the blue sky before swooping down and picking up a child playing on the ground below.

The eagle was able to lift the kid a few feet high before losing its grip and letting go of his prey.

The incident happened in Mont-Royal Park, a popular public space for Montrealers.

Thanks for the update.

This leads on to a wider issue. With current technology, can we truly belive what we are "shown" by media or governments ?

Really?? and WHERE this video was hidden for half a year? it is SNOWING now in Montreal, for God sake..

And video is "made" in the summer time..

Besides, it's confirmed that:

" A Montreal animation and digital design college has admitted that three of its students were responsible for the 'Golden Eagle Snatches Kid' video that went viral on Tuesday

Both the eagle and the child were created in 3D animation and integrated in to the film afterwards, according to Centre NAD spokesperson, Claude Arsenault in a statement released Wednesday."

maybe there was but the camera wasnt good enough to capture the sound

There was no "praise the lord" or "allahu akbar" sound when the eagle snatched the kid therefore no terrorism involved there.

It's no surprise. In the Philippines monkey eating eagles as they are called snatched monkeys as their prey. It has a wing span of more than two meters.

we were often cautioned by the elders to beware when playing outdoors alone cos a wandering eagle might carry you away. Older and wiser(I hope!) I assumed that might have been their code for pedophiles or something, but judging by that video it seems,Yikes! their was a literal truth in their warnings!

Its DEFINITELY real!

If you have never seen a fully grown Golden Eagle you might find it hard to believe. But believe me they are more than capable!

In Scotland they have been known to take baby deer, and even push full size deer of cliffs

Something might have attracted the eagle to snatch the baby which is abnormal.

thank God the baby was a bit heavy for the eagle

(I think that it had a full diper, which added some extra grams)

This eagle is either a terrorist, mentally ill, or a Mossad agent
