I have been took a used car 2009 model. During purchasing the car sales-man told me ,I need to change my car plate no within one months after renewal my insurance. My car insurance has been done on 20th Nov-12 but till I am not getting any information to change my car plate to a new format of Qatar .
So how could I know where can I change my car no plate in exchange of old to new plate format.

It is to be done after the renewal of the Road Permit and they should have done it earlier. Now go to the nearest Traffic Office and request them for the new number plate. If the Road Permit was done recently they will tell you to go to Duhail to change the plate and if it was done 5-6 months back then you should provide the size (better take a photo on your mobile to show them) and they will tell you when it will be ready. If the plates were made and not collected they will charge you Qr. 200 for a new pair of plates.
