Vacation

Is there any place that would allow my boyfriend and I to stay together? Also, he is black, I am white - would that cause issue in the area? I notice that there are a lot of distinctions made between race that I am just not used to, for example listing what races are acceptable in accomodations being advertised.

After careful consideration, we have decided to not even attempt this - if his status were affected I would never forgive myself and it's not worth it even though all we wanted was a quiet, private place to talk and get to know one another better. I know you're all "yeah right" but that is the truth. I don't believe in relations before marriage and I have my children to think about as well.

Ok then....interesting comments. I completely want to respect the culture in Doha - I am fascinated by it and look forward to my trip. Never in my life would I ever have thought I might have the privilege to visit this jewel! Dezertryder - I'm actually a widow, having spent several years married to a white man. But I see the person, not the race/colour and I am glad that I have found someone that has brought happiness and love back into my life. Why would that threaten cultural values? I have good values, strict morals (despite my question, I have some personal reasons for asking it in that way) and my only purpose is to enjoy your country and make sure that I am safe, he is safe and we offend no one.

Ooooopps... white women are so interested with black men, while their men goes with south east asian women.. Our cultural values are changing in opposite sides and will be eradicated by own people.. sooon

Rounding a numerical value means replacing it by another value that is approximately equal but has a shorter, simpler, or more explicit representation

agree with iChooseHappy. better get married not having to worry about anything illegal. you know how conservative and family values are practiced here in Doha.

in my own opinion, that would be a problem because you are not yet married and its quite dangerous living together unless you are married with valid documents etc. and once the police/CID inspects, khallas, major problem. just my honest opinion.

I think you cannot stay in one accommodation together unless you are married because there are several police rounding around Doha looking for this and they will deport those they've caught..even put them on jail
