Used home furnishings

I don't live in Qatar. I live in Canada. Rizks - What I know about Doha is what I have gleaned off the internet and my friend who is new to the country. A little friendliness can go far!
He does maintain simplicity. I've never seen anyone who can go so far with so little. Do you cook and eat off your pillow and mattress molten? He needs a few things for crying out loud and I just want to help him as best I can from here.

Furniture can be found at the same place where you posted your requirement.... but its not hygienic to cook in used dishes... hehe
there is a souq at Najma area where they sell used furnitures, dishes etc.
EVEN in QL, check the classified section for used items...
