Dad rapes, kills pregnant daughter for honour

britexpat
By britexpat

Can you get any stupider than this ? How can one do this to their own offspring ?

In a gross and brutal act a father raped and murdered his pregnant daughter because she had married against his consent.

The 17-year-old girl had eloped with her 19-year-old boyfriend from her village in Uttar Pradesh a few months ago.

They allegedly wed in a temple in Mumbai and he took up a job of a labourer.

According to reports in ToI, the girl’s father, 45, tracked them down two weeks ago and confronted them.

The father along with his friend forcibly took his daughter, who was four months pregnant by then, to the friend’s house.

But when the girl refused to return to the village, in a fit of rage, the father pulled her out into the nearby jungle and raped her. Then he asked his friend also to rape her in order “to teach her a lesson for tarnishing his family name”, police is quoted as saying.

Later, fearing she would report the matter, the duo strangled her with her dress and left her body in the open.

The following day they returned to confirm if she was dead and hid her body in the bush.

The incident came to light, when the father in a drunken state, mentioned about raping and killing his daughter to a waiter in a restaurant, who in turn told his boss. The latter alerted police.

The duo has been arrested. They led police to the decomposed body.

Police are on the lookout for the girl’s boyfriend.

2) Award death sentences for crimes such as these .

3) Declare victim blaming punishable under the law.

4) Increase the punishment for women abuse.

5) Pass a law to imprison all who support the acts of ruthless criminals.

I pity the wives and daughters of monsters like these men who have to control (I mean "protect") them. They are truly sick people. But they were no doubt raised by fathers who were just as mentally deranged as they are, so they deserve some pity.

Thankfully the world is changing and women are slowly being given the chance to act like thinking adults, not as live in cleaners and baby making machines.

I guess it is agreed by all that MM still needs to crawl out of the cave he dwells in when it comes to treating a woman fairly. For him a woman's place is in a steel chamber with lock and key and without any opening for even air. Once she walks out of that chamber she is the reason for anything that goes wrong in this world. I dont think he even deserves to be acknowledged on such issues leave aside responding to him. He will never grow up cos basically civilisation is lost on him.

Dont understand what mistake the boy and girl made. None IMO. If they are not allowed to live together by their family members they have all the right to leave there homes...call it eloped, ran away etc etc it doesnt change the fact that they wanted to be together at a place where they feel they can be safe. Father's actions, no comments... it is beyond my understanding that a father can do such a thing. Just wish he gets the harshest of the punishments.

Right on Kat! As a mother of a daughter who also happens to be my only child, I cannot imagine the psyche of a parent not only raping his child, but getting a friend to do it as well. In fact the murder was only committed to cover up the rapes. Is this the actions of a morally upright father? Can you imagine then what kind of upbringing the girl must have had!
