Visit visa for my spouse

Dear QL'ers

I would like to know what all documentation is required for getting visit visa for my spouse processed after me landing to Qatar. does she need to undergo medical test @ India as well?
I have provided all documents-including marriage certificate attested to my employer out at Qatar.They told me that i would not be able to bring my spouse along with me- instead you may apply for her visit visa once your RP gets processed.

Could you please advise me how long it will take for me to apply for visit visa for my spouse & also do let me know whether she can avail medical insurance given by my employer (myself, spouse & kid are included in the coverage)
