My husband is coming from UK on a visitor's visa which will be stamped on entry. He will be seeking work once he gets here. what is the maximum time they will allow him to extend his visitor's visa for 1 month, 2, 3, 4, or 5? His return ticket would be set for April 2014. How much does it cost to extend for up to 5 months

It costs QAR 100 /-per month (Extention is also QAR 100/- per month)

Visa on Arrival is valid for one month from the date of entry and extendable for further 3 months i.e. Altogether 4 months.

Better cross verify with Passport Control counter who will stamp the visa on passport.
