Kool Kids Nursery, Be Aware Parents!!!

Kool Kids Nursery for people who don’t know it, is one of the expensive Nurseries in Doha, Al Sadd, 3000 QR/Month, when parents pay this much for a nursery, the least they expect is attention and care to their children, My son was in this Nursery for almost 3 months, everything was going smoothly, we had some comments but that was under control and nothing makes us worry, and we were happy from nanies and my son love them all. Till one day (4 days back) we heard about a conflict between the owner of the nursery and all the employees, I was surprised, I mean all the employees!!!.

The next day when I was picking my son I was surprised that all employees (Nannies and assistances ) were not available since they went to police to complain  about the owner actions, which till now I don’t know what happened and I don’t want to know.

Whenever there is disputes between managements in any company there is always a victim

In this case my son was one of the Kool Kidz nursery victims. He was left unattended, without food, without drinking water, no nappy change, dirty wet clothes, not even a bottle of milk ( from 8:00 am to 1:30pm)

I came to his class at 1:30pm to pick him up to find him with a stranger , “I am the accountant of the owner” she said, an accountant assigned by owner to take care of children under two years, I told her why you, she said only today sir, why you didn’t you call us to take our son home? I asked, she replied please only today, please give us another chance and we can show you all the papers and she continue talking like a sales person but I was very angry to listen to her,  I hold my self from exploding in front of the children who were already suffering. I said, another chance!!! Risking my son again, trusting strangers!!! I mean every parent knows that children need only few seconds unattended to hurt them selves. No way i replied, and went back home.

The funny thing is when I called the owner, he was talking as if he is the victim, and he need our help against the employees!!! I said,  this is not my problem and I can not trust you with my son any more, if there is anything you can do is to return my money back.. he replied habibi go to police, I said ok thank you very much, in less than one min, this what was his answer to us. The strange thing that I was very polite with him, but he was talking nervously as if his son was on risk, maybe he is big untouchable guy, should we be afraid??

I though I should share this here, maybe somebody might benefit from our experience.

By the way I tried  called ministry of education on 4404 5555, but no answer.

Having dropped my daughter off for the first full day today, I'm wondering how long it takes for a child to get used to different surroundings.

She's really adaptable and loves other children but still worry how she's going to cope at 10 month old.

Any thoughts and/or experiences?

lady N, The boss who fight with all employees, ALL OF THEM, should not be boss. he should hold responsibility for his actions, his actions lead all employees not to come to work, which lead to leaving our kids unattended, at least they should called us to tell us "NO Body is taking care of the kids", those are our kids we are talking about, we work, suffer and stay away from our families to draw a smile in their face, not to let some unprofessional boss to treat them like street dogs.

lady N: So you think it right that a child trusted to the nursery should be cared for by an untrained person and not be fed or changed.

elias2006, i agree with you, we should do something.

Just to clear things out, the Qatari does not know anything about this, the one i called "the owner" as they call him, is Jordanian.

Lol MM. That's a good one! :-)

I don't think you'll have any chance of getting your money back. Just be grateful you found out the truth before anything bad happened to your child. Good luck finding a new nursery on such short notice.

We need to co-op with the management when they ask for it ...... Owner seems a courageous person who took other peoples' kids responsibility for a meager sum of money .....
