I am planning to bring my family on a visit in May-2014 for a month vacation in doha, my question is what are the documents require to apply for a family visit visa,my family consist of wife and two sons aged 18 yrs & 14 yrs respectively.I have already obtained NOC from my company and they told me to submit it to the immigration at my own.
Expecting a positive advice from members of qatar living group.
With many thanks and best regards.

If you’re already a resident in Qatar and would like to get a member of your family for a visit, all you have to do is visit the Ministry of Interior website (click here) ; and then go to the MOI Forms section and download the “ENTRY VISA/EXTENSION APPLICATION” PDF and fill in the required information.
The visa is usually valid for 30 days, and can be extended by resubmitting the same form.
Requirements for applying visa for wife & Children:-
1) Filled up application form
2) Copy of personal ID or passport of the resident husband
3, Letter from husband employer citing profession and salary (Salary requirement is at least QR7000)
4) Copy of valid passport of your visitor (family member)
5) Copy of attested marriage certificate & children birth certificate
6) Bank Statements (stamped) for minimum of 6 months (2 Copies)
7) Copy of attested work contract
8) Copy of house rental and kharamaa (rent agreement or company letter stating that housing is company-sponsored)

britexpat: My first two threads got posted due to a computer glitch before I could complete the sentence. Will appreciate your understanding.
For a visit visa for the wife an Arabic translation of the marriage certificate attested by the local govt authorities and the Qatar embassy/consulate is required. The passport must carry the name of the husband as it appears on his passport. As for the query on a scanned copy, one can get away may be with a photocopy but with modern techniques now easily available a scanned copy is better.
Please note that once the visa gets issued it is valid for just a month within which period they must travel. Once the visa is issued and you purchase the ticket, the airline on which they are travelling will put a stamp on the copy of the visa "okay to board". This will be done at the local airline office in their city. This is required as the visa will get stamped on their passports at Doha airport on their arrival. Please also note that should they return within one month, no medical test is required to be done. However, if they intend to stay longer, the above test must be done within one month of arrival and cleared before an extension in visa could be applied for at the immigration and passport office.
Are you sure you need a scan ?
@acchabaccha, are u sure the passport should show as husband of so & so...? Will a marriage certificate not suffice?
You need a scanned copy of their passports which has all the details including your name as husband/father. Possibly, you need a salary certificate from your company but I am not sure of this as when my children came, the visa was obtained by my company mandoob. You can check on this with your company's PRO. You will need to fill a form and attach a copy of your Qatar ID. The process is very simple and a visit visa gets issued within a day
