Transfer of Dependant Visa To Work Visa and Quota Issues

Hi Hello,

I am having a small query in regards to my Visa transfer and so request someone to clear my doubts regarding the same. I got an offer for job as Sales Engineer in Qatar three months ago. I am currently residing in Qatar under my father's sponsorship (Dependant) and I have NOC from my father for transfering my RP to them.

The company recently emailed me saying that they have no Indian Visa Quota and that they are awaiting Quota approval !!!

Why does the company require Quota and Visa when I already hold a residence permit (Dependant) from my father and also under the approved age limit. Your reply on the same would be much appreciated.

Yes, they are exempted. You have to provide the copy of their passport page containing their first entry stamp to Qatar

hello subin1985,

Thanks for your good information. Just want know because there are some notes below the application form for PCC. It mentioned those born in Qatar and those who entered Qatar below 16 years old are exempted for PCC?

Hi Qatar Living Members...

I would like to share my experience with Sponsorship Transfer (Dependent Visa to Work Visa : (Father's Sponsorship to Company Sponsorship)

Please Note: It is NOT MANDATORY for your company to have a Pre-approved VISA / QUOTA to process your sponsorship transfer. @Haris7: There is no doubt in the company's reputation. Its a MNC having HO in Columbus. According to the labor dept, its mandatory to obtain a WP for employment in Qatar. In my case its a sponsorship visa which do not automatically entitle me for a Work Permit. But my present query is regarding the visa transfer process. Just wanna know whether if it possible to transfer Dependant visa (fathers sponsorship) to company visa & does the employer require any pre-approved visa quota in my case where I already hold a Qatari RP.

Haya

Dude, its bit risky that U r dropping Ur RP for the sake of getting a Sales Engineer Company Visa.U must do some research about the company reputation as it might not be fruitful. Cheers
