Visa for Mother

Dear All,

I need your help and advise for my Mother Qatari visa, I am British, married and have one kid and currently offered a job in Doha, my mother is Pakistani (age  70 years), i want to know if i can bring my mother to Qatar on resident permit or Visit Visa (six months).

Please advise as my decsion to move to Doha from London depends if my mother can move with me, also i would really appreciate if someone can please guide me with procedure for RP etc.

I'd say not easy to get the visa. And extending it will be a problem as well. You know that once the visa runs out there is a three to six month waiting period before even applying for another? Qatar simply does not want older folks in their health care system.

Could someone please advise if it is easy to get Visit Visa for parents over 70 years old and can they get extended from one month to five month easily?

I seriously doubt your mum would ever get an RP. As a Pakistani national she might be allowed a 30-day visit visa, renewable once. Do not accept the job if it depends on her being able to live with you. Perhaps talking with your offering employer will help.

Its totally on immigrations officer normally they are issuing visit visas only

thanks acchabaccha for your reply, so you suggest that 70 years old parents doesn't even get Visit Visa, I will ask UK Qatari Embassy but they have'nt helped earlier

I am not sure but from what I hear they do not issue visas to people of this age. I suggest you contact the Qatar Embassy in the UK for the correct position on this.
