Thank you note for QV Beach Cleanup Campaign

Thank you for the difference you made on Sealine Beach by participating in the QV Beach Cleanup Campaign – 2014

Several volunteers turned out today to remove marine litter and trash from the Sealine Beach as part of the QV Annual Beach Cleaning Campaign.

There were many amazing volunteers working to keep Sealine beautiful and all were doing their bit to keep the Sealine beach clean and raise public awareness about marine litter. 

Many volunteers give up their weekend or take off from work to just give back something to the community and to keep the Environment clean.  

Volunteers who came said how much they enjoyed meeting other volunteers and expressed an interest in holding more events like this in the future.

As one volunteer commented today “I was amazed to see so many volunteers and it was good to hear about all the good work they’ve been doing and to see how Qatar Volunteers is connecting the communities”. 

We would like to say a huge THANK YOU to all the hardworking volunteers who made a sunny weekend even brighter. The feedback has been really positive, with not only a huge amount of marine litter removed from the beach but also a positive message sent out to help encourage people to take action to protect their favorite beaches in the state of Qatar.

Last but not least our SPECIAL THANKS to ‘DIR Transport & Contracting Co. and DTC Move Services’ who sponsored the refreshments for all the volunteers and Online groups (iloveqatar.net and qatarliving.com) for their continuous support to all QV Events & Campaigns. Without the support of kind and generous sponsors and online groups and specially without the help of volunteers, it was not possible to accomplish the Beach Cleanup Campaign.
