Employee Contract
Hi Good sir,
I have a problem with the management right now regarding my contract.
My contract clearly states that I will be given "Round trip travel expences from Doha to "My county".
But right now they are making me pay for the excess of almost a thousand riyals because they will only pay the average travel expense going to my country. That money is already my income not payment for a ticket which they promised me I shall be given.
The sickening part is they will only re-imburse me when I will get back here in Doha which is clearly not written in my contract and is way too much for me to stomach.
How can I contest this, I am not very familiar of law here in Doha, but in my country this is breaking the law and trust and clear disregard of the signed contract agreement.
@Mhmd Ali, my point is there was no written information about that in my "Contract", all was written as "ROUND TRIP TICKET" going Which means I will have should have not pay for the excess or will use my own money to buy a return ticket.
I have been here for 2 years, a year ago they used to buy me round trip ticket, but now they changed it without prior written notice,
Now, I will buy the ticket and they will reimburse me with the lowest fare possible when I get back to doha.
I can't fully understand but a CONTRACT is a contract you should grant it or the contract is void.
But anyway, I am now trying to find another job because I don't know how to defend myself here in Qatar when this problems occurs once again, maybe they will adjust my salary or whatever they might think and I can't verify it using my contract.
I hope Qatar will do something about this.

You can't do anything about..it is true that company will provide a 2-way ticket as what mention in the contract "BUT" is not mention there which airlines right???so, it is the discretion of the company to give you the lower price of the ticket because they want to save money...I do hope you understand it..Even if you go to labour court, you can't win unless you have a very influential lawyer but it will cost you more money...If i were you, just keep quite, take the flight which has been offered to you and when you are in your country, have a deep though if you still want to comeback or not, otherwise go to another country and after two years come to Qatar wherein great opportunities are still around...good luck....

Hi da_ruru, It will be okay for me to go home but I feel I need this is happening to all people who works here in Doha, I would like to say I am very disappointed in this situation and would like to do something with this company.
It will not end from there. Expect more misfortunes to come your way in your present company. Don't bother to ask for NOC because you will definitely recieve a negative response. Go find a greener pasture.
