Wi-Fi Health Risk?
The BBC’s investigative program Panorama claims that Wi-Fi networks in schools can give off three times as much signal radiation as phone masts.
Panorama measured radiation levels from a Wi-Fi-enabled laptop in a classroom in Norwich. It found that the signal strength was three times higher than that of a typical phone mast.
Medical physics expert Professor Malcolm Sperrin advised against tossing Wi-Fi altogether, saying that "it's impossible to prove that something has no effect." He also added that he's "more concerned about the heat laptops generate and the impact it could have on sensitive parts of the body."
