Membership questions/issues, Pending members and other items
My dear members,
Let me address some items being discussed or PMed to the admins lately.
1. Membership - you have recently seen the membership going down to 993 from 999. This was the result of either a member unsubscribing or identified multiple id's being locked down by the QL admin.
This should serve as a warning to those with multiple userids. Though you may have one of your ids as a legitimate user, just having a multiple id will identify you as a possible troll and thus your ids will be locked/deleted.
Also having one cellphone contact for classified postings for different ids will mark you as a possible troll and your userid will be locked down.
In this light of QL Admin cleanup, we will also clean up our membership BEFORE we approve the pending subscriptions. We will start with all members with 0 points as of today.
Those with pending subscription to Filex, 0 points will not be approved. Please participate in the discussions and topics.
2. Hijacking -
a. There were issues raised to us on serious hijacking of threads. Though the question may have been answered or you know the person who posted the thread, it is not acceptable to hijack any thread (unless it has been announced in the beginning as a hijack thread) The reason being that the question may be important to most readers and the essence of the topic is lost due to serious hijacking.
Hijacking defeats the purpose of our mission of information dissemination.
b. I know most of us (including me) still have the hang-over from our successful Christmas party, victory parties and Birthday parties. However, we should not use this "high" to hijack each and every thread opened from then. "Hinay-hinay" lang because most other readers/members cannot relate to them and sometimes personal jokes can be read as demeaning, immoral and indecent by others who cannot relate. And this doesn't reflect well on the group. As I have said what you write leaves an impression of you on the reader's mind.
3. Business and Advertisement - DO NOT USE THIS FORUM TO ADVANCE OR PEDDLE YOUR BUSINESS WHETHER LEGITIMATE AND SPECIALLY THE ILLEGITIMATE ONES! You have the CLASSIFIEDS SECTION for that!
From this day any violation to this will have the following sanctions:
a. deletion of the thread
b. removal from membership
We will allow posting of concerts, cultural activity, show, etc. but business related items are a no-no. If you have questions, just ask yourself. I think you are mature enough to know if you are peddling something or just putting out an announcement.
If you have questions, just post here or PM your admins.
Keep on posting but not hijacking.
