Update on the Ondoy Campaign

Sorry for this late update.
This is to update all those who donated to our campaign.
We were able to collect more than 550 kilos of goods and we were able to pack them tight into 13 boxes which we shipped last October 8 through SkyFreight who have given us a huge discount and added free the 13 boxes, the Bill of Lading and also free delivery to our beneficiary - the Parish of San Jose de Ampid in San Mateo, Rizal under the supervision of Radio Veritas and the Parish Priest, Father Gerald Metal.
Here is the breakdown of our cash collections:
Our cash collection totalled QR 2,870.00

Expenses:
Packing tapes, markers 100.00
Shipping charges 2,042.00

Total expenses: QR 2,142.00

Cash on hand: QR 2,870 - QR 2,142 = QR 728.00

We plan to send the remaining cash to the same beneficiary but we will consult first with the cash donors.

By the way, people still need help. After Ondoy, there was Pepeng and now Ramil.

There is another drive sponsored by the QLVG (reason for posting this in English). You may want to send your donations through them. IT WILL BE TODAY (OCT. 23). Just follow this link: http://www.qatarliving.com/node/761415

We had some challenges in sending the donations in kind to the Philippines so if you still want to send your donations through Filex, we can accept only in cash (to add to the QR 728.00 on hand).

We thank you for your generous act and your kind hearts. May the Good Lord who knows the good you have done reward you a hundredfold!

Thanks to SkyFreight-Doha for their generous assistance!
