Scorching temperatures will continue into the next few days, according to the Met office in Doha.
“Though the temperature is expected to fall marginally, conditions like that of Tuesday will be felt for at least the next six days,” a Met official said. Unofficial sources put yesterday’s maximum temperature at 52 degrees Celsius. He attributed the sudden rise in the temperature to the shifting of the wind’s direction from south-easterly to south-westerly. “The maximum temperatures could be anywhere between 47 and 50 degrees in the next few days,” said the official.
