"Meena Kumari was an incredibly beautiful woman with a very bad luck. Daughter of a famous Dance Director, Ali Bakhsh of yester-years, she made a grave mistake of marrying a man twice her age (Kamal Amrohi) who had a son (Shandar Kamal) older than Meena Kumari in age from a previous marriage. Kamal Amrohi literally lived on her earnings for many years. Desperate for love and a child, she had a fling with Dharmendra and then she became an alcoholic and died young at age (43) because of kidney failure.
