Organised by the Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA) under the title, “Taste & Fun,” the festival will be held behind the Doha Exhibition Centre from February 23 to 26.
• Chefs at the event will showcase their “signature” dishes for the public in a family-friendly atmosphere.
• All of Qatar’s top hotels as well as high-end restaurants will participate in the festival, including five-star hotels’ restaurants.
• Chefs will offer Arabic, Asian, Mexican, European and even “fine dining” gourmet treats, which will be sold to visitors for QR5, QR10 and QR15 per platter.
• Qatar Tourism Authority will award the best restaurant on the last two days of the festival.
• Every afternoon there will be a DJ, jazz band and other performers.

The food festival is fast becoming a landmark community event in Doha where families can experience gourmet food for a reasonable price in a family-friendly atmosphere,” Qatar Tourism Authority chairman Ahmed al-Nuaimi said.
“It is important for the Qatar Tourism Authority to bring these events to the wider community. Not only will visitors enjoy great food and entertainment, they will have the opportunity to taste dishes from other cultures and seek to promote awareness of other cultures.”

Al-Nuaimi said the event could not be organised without the support of the hospitality industry in Qatar.
“Their extremely positive response supported organising such a festival through which we can showcase what Qatar has to offer.
“I urge people to come along, try something new, eat well and enjoy themselves.”

The food festival timings will be as follows:
Wednesday, February 23 - 4pm to 10.30pm;
Thursday, February 24 - noon to 10.30pm;
Friday, February 25 - 1pm to 10.30pm;
Saturday, February 26: noon to 10.30pm

Entry is free and QR5 coupons are available for purchasing dishes, priced between QR5 and QR15.
