encashment of leave salary

please enlighten me.

i started working in this company Feb. 2011 and decided to go on leave on Dec. 2012 for one month.

Since i am about to complete two years, they gave me two way ticket. as i know the company still has to pay me my one month leave.

Now, i applied for leave encashment but they only gave me one month basic salary. how much should i really get?

You are supposed to get SALARY for all the months. 24 months - 24 salaries - Have you got 24 months salary in the last 2 years including your leave period. If so, then how can you demand for an additional month ?

I don't know what you work as or where - but if I am not mistaken - you get a ticket home and back every year plus your leave salary....that's the way it works here and I would tend to think it is the same all over the gulf
