Resident permit.

I have joined an engineering company in Doha. presently on work/business visa. how much time does it take for resident permit to be processed? the room partner Im staying with me has been staying on visa extensions for last 6 months. his resident permit call still hasnt come.

Mhmd Ali, you are right. but I will need to travel to Ras laffan, Dukhaan, Messaid and Salwa alternately. Presently it is becoming inconvenient to take bus every time.

thanks Mary, my certificates have been attested at the embassy in delhi. now Im just waiting for further instructions from my company. they said that they will renew my temp visa but couldn't comment on how long the resident permit will take. like I said, I cant get the bare necessities like rent a house, driving permit, bank account till the RP is done.

(In my employment letter they mentioned Family status, long term visa. )

Be patient habibi...if i were u no need for you to get vehicle because you will become additional chaos of qatar..

and the problem is that I cannot look for independent apartment, take a car, driving liscence, or even a bank account without the resident permit. Help.
