Infant Qatar Visa Residency
Good Day to all! I gave birth to a son in Women's hospital 2 months and few days back. My husband came here through a family visit visa (under my sponsorship) and just recently transferred to a working visa. Since we only have few days more before the 3 months grace period for my son's residency will come to an end and my husband's pataka is not yet realized,I applied for my son's visa under my sponsorship. I provided a salary certificate of QR. 5,000 with a separate housing contract of QR. 3,000 (total package of QR. 8,000) and my husband's salary certificate of QR. 6,500 along with the other requirements. They accepted my documents and given me a "receipt"/reference paper for my son's visa which i need to check and will be available on moi site after one week (Immigration rep. instruction). My concern is: when i asked my colleague to check this receipt (written in arabic), he says that the Type of Visa is Family Visit.. when i asked our Mandoop about this he says its ok since the new rule in Qatar came out last 2012, that all application for family residency will appear as family visit and it will be renewable yearly. Does anybody here can give me a correct answer? By the way my son's visa application number starts with VB. thanks you!
If the child is born here in Qatar, and the mother has different sponsor with the father, the mother will be the sponsor and the baby will first get visit visa, then you will have to go and open the visa at 3 with the passport photo, international passport and RP form.
There, they will check at if the child has not overstayed. If so, you will have to pay the fine, and the visa will be converted to USED INSIDE COUNTRY, then you will pay for RP and get residence for the child.
got the same situation now we just apply for resident visa but they give visit visa. Did u able to change it for resident visa if yes what are the procedures to be done. Thanks for ur time.
The law he was referring to is that the mother should be under husband's sponsorship in order for the child's sponsorship to be approved. If you're under your husband's sponsorship, then there should be no reason for them to do the above.
It's just not nice at all... they don't know how it feels to be a thousand miles away from your kids specially at this stage where they really needed me..
I wish you will not suffer like me.. I gave birth in Doha last december 2012 and they didn't give my son a residence permit up to now. they told us to send our son out of doha and process the visa while he is outside the country. My 1year old son travelled last week with my sister and 3 years old daughter who has residency already but unfortunately can't keep her here for i am working and i need to process my son's residency. We tried to go to immigration couple of times and trying to meet the committee but left us hopeless.. it ended up holding my sons passport and ticket by CID until his flight to make sure he will go out of the country. I don't really know which kind of law they were talking about.
Yes you have to check under visit visa==========
if you track the application it will come out under visit,
did you son has passport now?
they will give you by God grace.
