Public Art

Our public art brings culture to the streets of Doha on a huge scale with high impact and mass appeal.

From striking sculpture and specially commissioned photography, our public art pieces are immersive, informal and often outdoors.

They are found in public spaces, like the Qatar National Convention Centre, Salwa Road tunnels and Aspire park.

They interrupt people as they go about their daily lives and ask them to think again. Collectively, they have a powerful and ambient presence in the city.

Telling our story

Public art piques interest and gets people talking. The installations speak to people who could become cultural producers, creative practitioners and museum professionals in years to come.

They often attract international press attention, projecting a message about the diversity and spirit of our emerging cultural landscape.

They help us form connections across continents. They are for everyone in Qatar, for now, and for future generations.

"The impact is going to be long-term. This is not something just for art-lovers. This is for a wide audience." Jean-Paul Engelen, QM Director of Public Arts
