Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA) is offering a free “park and ride” shuttle bus service to take visitors from the Q-Post office to the Qatar Summer Festival 2014 venues.

The bus goes to the Doha Exhibition Center (DEC), where the Family Fun activities are taking place, the Corniche, where the Fountain Fun activities are taking place, until September 27. The bus departs from the Q-Post office and passes by the two stations in one trip.

The bus will run every hour from 3pm to 10pm. On weekends, the bus will be available from 2pm to 11pm. The service features Doha Bus, Doha’s first tour bus, which gives visitors a good sightseeing experience.

The DEC entertainment city will be open from 3pm to 11pm on weekdays, and from 2pm to midnight on weekends. Although entry is free, there are tickets for taking part in the activities, priced between QR5 and QR30. Only cash payment is accepted.

At the Corniche, there are daily dancing fountain shows until the end of the festival. During the week, the fountain show runs at 30-minute intervals from 7pm to 11pm, and on weekends it runs from 6pm to 12pm at 45-minute intervals.

it was a bit hot up there as it is open -top model - but it was great joy to see Doha / the Corniche from one floor higher than usual . If you prefer the air-conditioned version then you can ride down .

Coming back from the exhibition center you can take the free shuttle bus service again - it leaves at every hour :30
