Back to School: Seat availability at schools in Qatar
We are nearing the end of summer holidays and most schools will reopen in the first week of September. At the beginning of every academic year, parents scramble to find a school for their child(ren) due to the lack of seats at schools.
We will try our best to compile a list of schools that are still accepting admission applications. Ideally, it would be easier to get a seat in one of the new schools that started operations this year. Unless you're in luck or have wasta, getting an admission in one of the well established schools nowadays is extremely hard.
For a list of the new schools opening this year, check this page.

Our son is starting at Al Wataniya International School (AWIS) next month. We've been there a few times, it's got a lovely family feel to it. Sharon Kay, the head there seems to genuinely care about the children.
We know another family, their daughter goes there in an older year and she loves it.
Hope this message might aid any potential parents looking at going to the school.
Also note that Doha British School is opening a new primary branch in Wakra for preschool to Year 5
