Good morning Qatar! Most of you are back after your holidays, and there are quite a lot of newcomers too. If you are new to Qatar, then follow this forum closely. You can also follow the Twitter hashtag #WelcomeToQatar to stay up-to-date on everything you need to know to settle into your life in Qatar.

For those of you who are not new to Qatar, you too can stay tuned on this forum. Get your friends to check out Qatar Living, especially if they are new to this country.

I landed in Qatar 10 days ago and I can only recount my initial impressions: The Qatar airways plane landed gracefully to a halt at the new airport and I remember thinking to myself " Goodness, this really is a land of understated beauty and hidden culture " as I gazed through the aircraft window..............Golly, I thought, as I passed by the Huge Cuddly Teddy Bear with a lamp on its head, I wonder what delights awaited me now in this land of opportunity and wealth galore? Will I too get filthy rich? Will I be able to go to Expat brunches every friday and get wasted? Will I get a huge Villa with a few maids? Will I be famous, will i be rich, heres what doris Day sayeth to me. ! Episode 3 next week ! Watch this space!
