Lots of activities lined up for Eid Al Adha in Qatar

Numerous activities and events for the seven-day Eid al-Adha festivity in the country, starting on October 4, Saturday.

Qatar will have many attractions lined up this time catered for families, tourists and residents alike.

Many of these events have been organised by Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA). They include international shows, traditional dances and musical performances to suit all ages.

Venues that will have Eid activities:

  • Katara Cultural Village
  • The Ministry of Culture, Arts and Heritage
  • Souq Waqif
  • Souq Al Rayyan
  • The Pearl-Qatar
  • Aqua Park
  • Qatar Shooting and Archery Association
  • Qatar Air Sports Committee
  • Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al Thani Museum
  • Al Dosari Zoo and Game Reserve

Hotels with buffets and events: 

Free Eid shows at there Qatar’s shopping malls:

  • City Center-Doha
  • Landmark
  • The Mall
  • Hyatt Plaza
  • Al Khor Mall
  • Lagoona 

Shows in the malls will be for seven days between 4pm and 9.45pm. Shows will feature international and traditional acts. A variety of shows are from the traditional sword dance “Arda”, Gulf Times has reported. 

There will also be an “Arabs Got Talent”, which is expected to attract a large number of spectators while speed painter Nour Eddine Benouakas will inspire many.

International shows such as Shaun the Sheep, dancing with Swan, Mr Potato Head, Dora’s Ballet adventures, Dan druf circus, sweet for kids, Fritters, Steve Kaos, Football freestyler, Tannoura, Oriental Parade, face painting, Adventure time show and Bubblez and Balloonz will also entertain the visitors. 

Katara will host the Angry birds exhibition from October 4 to 7. The daily shows will take place at 7.30, 9.30 and 10pm followed by fireworks at 11pm.

A reception of visitors at Hamad International Airport and Abu Samra border crossing is also organised.

Upon entry into Qatar, visitors  receive details of the festival and other promotional materials regarding various tourist attractions and entertainment programmes in the country.

Can anyone post the schedule of the shows that are happening in the malls? We have been to city center yday but there was nothing happening there....

its in al shahaniyah (half way between Doha and Dukan on Dukhan expressway).

the farm is behind the shahaniya camel race track...there are direction boards, and hopefully u wont miss it. However, once u are in shahaniya town, just stop and ask for directions from local.
