Suitable Salary for IT Project Manager
By Koh-i-Noor •
I am a Canadian citizen working as IT Project Manager in banking sector for last 10+ years. Please advise if QRS 35,000 per month is a suitable salary apart from villa in a compound and allowance for child's education paid extra, is a suitable package. Looking forward to your responses. Thanks for going through this post!

For eg., I am an Asian...and a Manager in a company in Doha...same level but a westerner will get 20% more than me. Thats the trend which I have seen in Qatar.
@Molten...I am not talking about commen sense here...package difference between westerners and asians differ here because of the forex (respective countries money value)...Dollars, Pouns and Euros are costlier than Riyals...whereas...Rupee, Yen etc., are cheaper than Riyals...skill and commen sense is completely different.
@Koh-i-Noor...I am an IT Professional working in Doha. Thus, I m familiar about the salary range here in Qatar. All the best.
Saddy, Boy , Why the westerns need more money than Asians , do they lack common sense when comes to living simple or just aren't tought about controlling their expenses like normal humans ? Even a daily drinker can't be allowed to waste money mindlessly ? .................................................... Fri,24.10.2014, 08.41 hrs
Koh, Being a real Canadian or just carrying a fresh Canadian passport has a huge difference , which should not be there actually .............. ........ .................... ............... Fri,24.10.2014, 08.35 hrs
dear koh i noor .. what is the company?
Thanks for your response, Saddyboy! I have turned down the offer today. I do not have any friends in IT sector in Doha but your response was very much similar to responses from various people on other sites and blogs. And surely, I am very grateful to you for that! What ever be your profession, wish you all happiness and success in each step!!!!!
as per exp...this is good salary with villa provided. however, as per citizenship...this may be at lower end. Overall, its a "OK" level salary not attractive for westerners...but very attractive for asians
Hi SAP_Qatar,
Thank you very much for your response. Please can you suggest what would be the right salary per month, approximately? Your support is very helpful in deciding whether to accept such an offer. Thanks again for your guidance!
Best regards
