Al Jazi Gardens or Al Rayyan Village - best for young kids?
Hi Our kids (age 4 and 8) have got a place in Doha Collage, starting in February, and we are now looking at where we want to live. We had a visit last month and saw a couple of villas in Al Jazi and one in Al Rayyan. We are just looking for feedback from anyone living in either of these, as to which may be the best for a family with young kids.
Our initial thoughts were:
- Al Jazi Houses very dated, and unfortunately the ones we were shown were across a busy road from the main pool (which is not ideal), so we'd have to try and get one on the other side, if we were to decide on there.
- Pool area is very good for kids.
- Decent cafe area, next to pool.
- Pizza on site!
Al Rayyan
- Lovely houses, much more in the style of what we are looking for.
- Modern gym, beauty salon, etc.
- Pool area not so great for kids, esp. our 4 year old who can't swim yet (only a paddling pool).
Apart from what we were able to see, at a surface level, could anyone give any other feedback which might help sway us one way or the other, e.g. I've heard Al Rayyan may do kids classes (in what, I don't know), what the social scene is like, etc.
For info, we are from Aberdeen, Scotland and in our 40s, and life very much revolves around our kids. :-)
