Buying used Chevrolet Tahoe

Hello all,

I am looking to buy a car and my budget is around 80k QAR. I would rather buy an SUV if it makes sense and my search for SUV within this budget gave me an option of buying a Chevy Tahoe.

In this regard, I would like to know does anyone have experience of driving a used 2008-2010 Cheverolet Tahoe with less than 100k KM? If so, how expensive is maintenance on these cars? Can maintenance be done pretty much at any mechanic shop? Are the spare parts readily available which dont cost out of this world? and lastly, how is the resale on these cars.

Thank you very much in advance!

Don't go for Mazda or Ford, the same crap you will have on maintenance, Mazda has lot of issues with their cars in the hot climates of GCC. Ford is ford, not reliable, unless you get their trucks. For jeeps, only go for Wranglers and Cherokee, Dodge services are done through Al Mana, they are ok. Mitsubishi Pajero and Pajero sports are reliable too, you can see a lot of them around here. But best will be Toyota, try FJ Cruiser or Prado or Fortuners. With nissans you get hits and misses, sometimes good and sometimes bad, their parts are made in various places, not all from Japan as everyone thinks.

I would advice you to think again before you go for chevy cars.. Especially used.. Maintenance could hurt you.. Jaidah is gonna kill you my friend..

Consider Nissan, Mazda, Toyota, Dodge, Jeep and even Ford.
