Immigration moody public services representatives !

Hello everyone ! My wife is already here on a visit visa, yesterday i went to the immigration office in Gharrafa after spending hours and days in preparing my file to apply for her resident visa, I believe that my file is complete and meets the criteria to submit an application, My salary is 11 k plus allowances, i had a 6 month bank statement proving that, I had my attested tenancy contract from baladyia, my job contract attested from ministry of labor and etc..., anyways now here is the thing first i went to the reception and a guy there who never smiles gave me a number after having a look on my file, then i waited for my turn and here comes the moment of truth after all the efforts and over thinking, your heart is pounding and ur mind is thinking about whats going to happen, u r completely clueless about the procedures and the decision making criteria ... so the lady on the counter took my file , while holding a pen in her hands she kept drawing circles around different parts of my documents and after 1 or 2 mins she looked up at me and told me, u cant submit coz your profession is general supervisor and your college degree is an engineer!! so i paused for a moment and replied politely and whats the problem in that ? u can be an engineer and work as a general supervisor on a group of engineers or whatever, she said no go and speak with the officer! so i went to the officer and after maybe a 10 seconds conversation he decided that he will not accept my application coz of the same reason! a 10 seconds conversation and a decision made by him can change your whole future plans and expectations, i mean for god sake i deserve a longer conversation to understand why or even express my point of view !! really u just leave full of anger and depression without having any idea about what to do next!! i keep asking myself whats wrong with being graduated as an engineer and having a general supervisor profession title, at the end general supervisor is a very elastic title that can go for many meanings, and they are the ones who included it in the professions list...anyways guys sorry for the long msg but i actually feel better after writing this, by any chance if any officer or one of the immigration representatives passed by this msg ,all i ask is AT LEAST TRY TO BE NICE, the complicated procedure itself is more than enough !

Hope my experience would give you hope. I went to Mesaimer office to apply for a visit visa for my mother in law. My company PRO was waiting for me in the Mesaimer office to help me. Since I reached late he took one number and was waiting for me. When I reached I didn't find him so I took a number as well. Then we met and waited for the turn. We went to a counter when the number was called. The lady at the counter checked the document and said labour contract is required along with the application which we were not aware of and was not present in the documents. We were asked to leave. Since I had taken another number we decided to give another try if number is called in another counter. Number was called but the very next counter of this lady. I turned my face in a way that earlier lady do not see me and went to the counter. My heart beat increased when the new lady was chatting with other one casually but not related to my document. She didn't see me and the new lady accepted the form and didn't ask for labor contract. I flew from the counter once I got the receipt. I and PRO have laughed our heart out many times remembering this incident. I pray to Allah that you get your family resident visa soon.

Its is all a big scheme of things, just like getting a drivers license, depends on the mood of the officers and what they are being told. There is always a quota in the whole scheme of things, they say no now, but they may say yes later....it all depends on quota (if you read between the lines). The thing is you don't know when is the right time and they don't tell you. Thats why most people get frustrated and try and try again till they get it. This is how it is, I have seen it for years. Everyone just have to stand in line and pray that they pass through their application. Don't get frustrated, but keep trying again and again, but in different time-intervals like weeks or months after.

i have been told to go once again and give it a shot with another representative behind the desk, as when i explained the whole thing to friends been here in qatar for a long time they say that there are no problem with my document and they are clueless about why they refused to even submit my application! i have been told that general supervisor profession is an accountable title to get ur family visa as well, so i really have no idea, will go once again and hope i find another representative who will even explain more ..

one more reason you could not get the task done is the lady you had to see. my personal experience, whenever there is a local lady sitting on the desk, you can never get that done by simple means.

The reason behind this is the rubbish policies they are having and this is made even worse by the inefficient and ignorant people sitting in the public dealing areas who only know 2+2=4. They can only do what they are taught to do and have no brains to think themselves.

It is all their fault, why did they stamp a supervisor visa after seeing your engineering certificate.
