Meat shop shut down due to violations
The Ministry of Economy and Commerce (MEC) has partially closed a meat shop at a well-known shopping mall in Nauija area for one month due to manipulation of the source country of the products on display.
MEC inspectors discovered after a test by a veterinarian that the meat labelled Australian lamb ribs were actually from New Zealand and what was labelled as Pakistani calf liver was local.
MEC confirmed the closure on its Twitter account yesterday.
