VIDEO: Shopkeeper in Bin Omran seriously injured in car accident
A shopkeeper working in a grocery store in Bin Omran has reportedly sustained serious injuries after a car accidently accelerated and drove into him on Tuesday afternoon.
The video was first published by Al Sharq on its website yesterday and was reported again by Doha News this morning. The video, however, was uploaded on YouTube on Tuesday by sindk4mindk with a title in Arabic that translates to "Accident in Bin Omran."
According to the CCTV video footage, the shopkeeper was arranging newspapers on the rack outside the shop. Suddenly the black Porsche Cayenne that was parked a few meters in front of the shop accelerates and knocks down the shopkeeper.
A few bystanders seemed to be rushing to the scene. A man in traditional thobe was thrown out of the driver seat while the vehicle accelerated. It is not sure what caused the car to accelerate.
The accident took place outside Al Taif Supermarket and the shopkeeper suffered a broken right leg, reports Doha News.

Pleas people don't judge without knowing what happened exactly there was a problem in the car " porsche cayenne " that made the car moves by it self its wasn't the driver's mistake ! And btw the video it shows that he wasn't in the car exactly while it moved and the man is an adult and fully mature not young boy
Such an accident has taken place several times in different countries of the world and it has been either due to malfunctioning of the automatic gear system or from children shifting the gear. A little precaution on the part of the driver could stop repeat of such unhappy incidents.
I feel sorry for that poor guy he is so luckily if he survived for that accident just he left his country to find better life ...
My brother also escape from such incident (Alhumdulillah) when an arabic school kid drove land cruiser at najma area back side of Crowne Plaza Business Hotel, he lost the control at round about and after scrolling finally manage to slow down.
Hence, more vigilance required from Traffic Dept. to avoid such untoward incidents specially happens from kids and youngsters.

I'm sure there is a kid in the driver seat. Qatar must implement the rules of restraining children and be strict on it. Children now a days is curious and very smart. You can't blame the kids for our carelessness .
