Traffic chaos resumes as schools reopen
Many crowded areas in Doha witnessed traffic jams during peak hours as Independent schools opened yesterday.
The rush is expected to increase in the days to come as more people return from their winter and spring holidays. The traffic department has repeatedly advised motorists to start as early as possible to reach their destination on time.
Officials have advised motorists to avoid roads that they expect to be congested so as to make the commute smoother for everyone.
Parents have been advised to send their children by school buses instead of their own vehicles to reduce congestion, particularly during the peak hours.
"The school bus is certainly a good idea, but it is exhausting and time-consuming as children have to spend at least one hour each to and from school. So, I prefer my private vehicle to ferry the children," a local parent said.

Why the traffic department not taking any action against these kind of violating drivers!!, If they will petrol for one month very seriously by on road and through camera 50% of the road congestions accidents can be reduce.
Next in D ring Road we can not travel in the middle track even 80 KM speed. Lighting, horns and etc. What ever they can do they will do
Most of the chaos is created by people not following the rules, as we can see in this pic if the white cruiser guy can follow the correct lane, it can allow the other cars (coming from opposite lane) to pass without hassle. Even the traffic violations are biased these days...
