Hi every one,
I got an opportunity in Qatar .I am B.tech Mechanical engineering with almost 5 years of experience as Design engineer in Autodesk inventor Software (3D modeling).
They are offering me 6000Qr currency including all Expenses.Is it good salary to sustain In Qatar and for my experience. if it is not good salary Kindly suggest me how much amount is enough to sustain one family and hot to approach for salary negotiations.
Probably i am planing to come along with family.
if at all i need to ask any important questions to them ,Suggest me those.so that i can discuss with them before itself
What about certificates of our graduation and Passport substitution to them .....? is it required

Family 1BHK semi furnished will be around 4k-8k in Doha and 2k-5k outside Doha
Food if you cook - 200 QR per month per head
Food if you dont cook - 1k to 1.5k per month per head
Travelling if you live in Doha and dont have a car - 1k QR/ month
Travelling if you live outside Doha and dont have a car - 2k to 3k QR/month assuming your office will be in Doha and you will have to travel everyday
schooling is expensive. take 2k every month.
total would be somewhere around 8k to 12k per month expenses.
When you apply for license then you will spend around 4k to 5k QR and then you will need a car. so plan accordingly. You will not be able to bring your family right away will take atleast 3 months for you to come and setup everything before u can start application for family visit visa.
6k u can stay alive in Qatar alone. But, just stay alive. Not live your life and bring ur family.

Engineers from india ,1st time gulf, exp.under 5yrs,are generally offered with 6000+accommodation.
If you want to experience new life go as a bachelor ,work for 2 yr and enjoy the entertainment you will receive after 24 months.
i bet you will have a far better future than being here after 2 yrs.

this is salary of auto cad draft man not design engineer, don't accept it if you are really engineer, and do accept it if you are simply cad operator, but my friend i have doubt about your qualification that an engineer might be not canvased for knowing 3D modeling for key skill!!!!! so for me difficult to advise you.
hi sir,how r,u,my name is suhail,iam in qatar,more then 8years now,as per ur question i will give u a clear answer,according to ur education,this is very less salary,in this 6000riyal,u cant bring ur family here,becz,if u want to apply for permanent family visa,u need a minimum salry of 10000riyals,and if ur planing for visit visa u can get easily,the limit of salry fr v,v is 5000riyals,ok,and now we vil come on accomdation,if comny is not providing u a accomdation then its a big loss,becz for baclr accomdation if ur taking bed space in sharing room,minimum u need to pay 1000riyals,in doha city,if ur planing for family accm,u vil not get single bhk,below 4000riyals,in doha,city if out side doha,u can get for below 3000,it depends,and transportation,if compy not giving u a car,then it is also a one of main issue,u need to arrange the car,etc,and food,for single person it need minimum of 500riyals,if u cook ur self,then its little bit less,and if u want to bring family u need to wait atleast 6months,for ur r,p,ur bank statement etc,and another one thing,its mandatory to attest all ur certificates from,india,as well as qatar,including marriage certifcts,etc,and main thing,u need to chek ur designation in ur visa,sometimes,a engineer can get labour designtn in his,r,p,if so,u vil face lots of prblm in getting,family visit visa,driving licns,bank acnt,etc etc,and what else,and i wil tell u one thing abt qatar,qatar is a very gud country,its safe for families,here local citizens are very gud and educated,govt also very nice,iam happy here,its enough for now,if u want any suggestions,u may contact on my mail id,[email protected] iam from karnataka,ur name govind looks like u also frm karnataka,any way best of luk,
You need a minimum of QAR 10,000 salary to be allowed to bring your family to Qatar!! With QAR 6,000 you CAN'T bring your family.
Look at the expenses that you have to bear here. It would cost you around QR 2500 to find a single room accommodation. You will need another 1500 for your essential needs including miscellaneous expenses such transport. You may be able to save the rest. However, at that salary you will not be able to bring a family on a permanent visa. To apply for a permanent visa you need a minimum salary of QR 10,000 per month. Also, a family accommodation will cost your more possibly around QR 4000. Based on this guideline, you can make your own decision.
