I have seen many posts on applying family visit visa some of them are with partial information.

Below is my own experiance....!!!

I recently (2nd May 2015) applied for family visit visa.

Note: My profession is Engineer so I have taken visa in my own sponsorship.

Below are the steps to follow,

Make ready all the below given documents,

• Salary certificate (letter from your employer with NOC)

• Copy of Marriage Certificate -Authenticated (For wife)

• House Agreement -Tenancy contract

• Passport Copy of your wife

• Documents to prove relationship (Father, Mother Etc…)

• Passport copy of your relatives (I have applied for my father so I have attached his PP copy)

Go to any typewriting center along with all documents and fill the application form there and they will ask 5QR for each application(This application can be taken from online and you have to fill in Arabic, if u know Arabic u can do by yourself)

Take all the above said document and application form along with you and go to Al Gharafa Immigration (which is near to me) Department ( Working hours 6 am to 1pm & 3pm to 7pm in week days) there will be a security checking and we have to tell the reason for the visit once we cross the security check the building is in our left side we can enter in and we have go straight there is a help desk from them we can get our token and we have to wait in the seat at right side there is more than 10 counters in it in that they will call for the token number.

Once our number is called we have to give the token and all the documents to the staff they will verify and accept ( if they reject we have to arrange the documents which required for approval) for me they accept and they have given receipt and ask me to come after two working days. I didn’t pay any amount during apply.

If you were register in Metrash you will receive the SMS once the visa is ready.

If visa is ready you can pay amount online- 200 QR per Visa (Need credit card) and you can print your visa. If not you can visit any nearest self-service machine to pay by debit card and you can get the print out or u can visit the same office and you can pay to the staff by card only and you can get the printout.

If you want to extend beyond one month for your wife, she has to undergone medical test(for medical test you have to visit medical commission, No need for appointment just go with your wife after 3 days and before one month from her arrival to Qatar to medical commission same one u went once u arrive to Qatar. she should carry her passport visa copy and debit/credit card to pay 100 fee. she will give your mobile number to the counter and in two days they will send u SMS about her test, if the test is ok, again take her passport visa copy and debit/credit card to immigration in Gharrafa and u have to pay 200qr for every month extension .

If you have any queries please comment.
