Humbles: this is a good observation. i bought a Tuk_tuk from rizks. he said it was only driven by an old lady from Mata Gadeem. Now its parked at the airport car park for two months :O(
Take the car to CARMAX at the old airport Mataar Qadeem Street. They charge around 300Qrs for a saloon car and 450 for a 4X4. Do the full checkup i.e. paint, engine, accessories, accidents and any other faults. Check the Car registration card which should have a valid date, match the name of the person selling the car with the name on the car regst card, the seller should pay all the pending fines and accept all the points to his driving license. He should have a valid car insurance. try to check the engine number or the chassis number cause some people will change the whole engine from the body. Ask for confirmed assurance from the seller if the car had a major accident. Because you will loose a lot if you try to sell a major accident repaired car (people stay away from such cars even if the engine is 99percent good) Good luck
The "German Computer Inspection" is rubbish! It's NOT German at all. If it were "German" it would advise to remove half of the cars in the streets of Doha.
i advise you (when you are buying a used car) that you take with you one mechanic and if he say that the car is Ok, also you can take the car to the GERMAN for Car Inspection its in Salwa Road, this is the best place to check the cars, and they will give you a report then you can decide to buy the car o no, and in case you will decide to buy it, you can negotiate the price with the owner. Good Luck and Welcome to Qatar.
