Mr.Choudrh you have any idea 3 years diploma holders can I change assistant engineering, plus advice. Because I was applied for family visa
That's a very comprehensive information @Choudrhys.
Pls can one go to these places personally or it has to be by Mandub only? You know sometimes one gets there with the required documents only to be told that only Mandub can do all these things.
Also, do you know of anyone who can help in submitting this documents as our HR/Mandub are not very competent in that aspect. I will be providing the documents for the person, only for him submit on my behalf.
TO
CHANGE PROFESSION ON YOUR VISA Documents required for VISA PROFESSION CHANGE: Well! In spite of having 6years of Engineering at college and 6 years of experience, I had to struggle another 6months to call myself as an Engineer in GCC!!!
B Thomas, as requested here's the procedure TO CHANGE PROFESSION ON YOUR VISA
Documents required for VISA PROFESSION CHANGE:
1. College certificate (corresponding to the new profession you want to change to)
Original certificate should be attested by the MOFA and Embassy of Qatar in your home country.
(There are agents in Doha who do this for you at a cost of QR300 to QR400)
This will take max of 10days. Once you get the Certificate attested, translate it in Arabic. Authorized Typing institutes should do this.
(You can try the one in Sofitel Building in the ground floor level)
Take the Original and translated Certificates to your country Embassy in Qatar for attestation.
(Normally this is not required. But if you are unlucky like me, it’s better to have this done... ;)
Now, take both these certificates to MOFA located in C-ring Road, Near Gulf Cinema (adjacent to Audi Showroom,
Opposite to Audit Bureau) and get attestation in the Arabic translated certificate for QR20.
2. THREE sets of new employment contract with the new profession mentioned (and/or salary change if any).
I’ve been working here since 2009 and I was shifted from one project to other.
And ended up having a new contract for the new project, which had a new joining date – though it was the same company and this was a problem in the Labour Dept.
They wouldn’t accept because I had different joining dates! So please check if you have the same joining dates mentioned in your old and new employment contract.
3. ONE Copy of Old contract 4. 6 months Bank statement minimum 5. Copy of ID 6. Copy Passport 7. Company Computer Paper 8. Company CR Copy 9. Copy of Sponsor’s ID card
10. Application for Profession Change – Duly filled and signed and sealed by your company Sun, 22/05/2011 - 12:29pm
Now, go to Labuor Dept (C-Ring Road, near American Hospital), submit the papers in ground floor. If the papers are OK, you’ll be handed over the same along with a receipt. Take this to the third floor where your education certificates will be verified and signed by the officer there. Take the signed documents to the adjacent building where the employment contracts are attested. Cost around QR30 per copy (QR90 for 3 sets of new contract). Once the attestation is done, Labour Dept takes one copy of the new contract and hands over the remaining two copies out of which one is for your company and the other for you.
Now wait for 7 – 10 working days. Go to Immigration Building 1, first floor. Show the receipt (which you got from labuor dept Ground Floor),
Your copy of the new employment contract, Passport, ID card, educational certificates
(Just in case the officer asks for these documents for a last look up).
If your documents have been forwarded from Labour department, Immigration officer will give you another signed printed paper.
Take this paper to the ground floor of the same building, pick up a token, and go to the counter had over the signed paper, old ID and your passport. Pay QR300.
The Visa copy with new profession will be pasted in your Passport.
You’ll be asked to wait for few minutes and you’ll get your new ID card with new profession!!
