first try to change the flight. if it cost more then ask capton at any immigaration office for extension, take your ticket with you, show him the ticket, he will surely extend the visa for next month. do not put your self and your wife in trouble for staying after visa expiry.

What if you just booked the flight for 28th?
The fine would be QR 200 per day for each extra day of stay after the visa expiry. Extending the visa will also cost you QR 200 per person per month of extension. Check with the captain at the immigration office and possibly he may help you out. They ate very cooperative and helpful people.
