My wife's residency permit was approved on the last working day before eid holidays & she was here in visiting visa which is expiring on 27th of this month. Today I got SMS from metrash about the visiting visa expiring on 27th. Technically i should not get that as her visa is approved and now I am totally confused. Can someone guide me why it happened and what I have to do next ?

Thanking you in advance.

thank you all. @Syednizam especially.

I transferred visit visa to residence permit by paying 500 riyal yesterday and as the receipt mentions it is having a 90 day validity for the medical & fingerprint procedure.

I did the medical yesterday itself & Today I am planning to go for the fingerprint section.

I had to do the following procedure for my 2 years old son's RP which was approved also this month. Actually our PRO was the one who processed everything but I need to submit all of these as required;

1) I registered my son in Medical Commission (medical not required at his age). For your wife, she needs to pass the medical (blood test, x-ray, etc).

2) Submitted passport size ID with blue background

3) Blood Group from authorized laboratories (ours was in Medical Laboratories in Duhail)

4) I don't know where fingerprinting happens. Maybe in Medical Commission too? I forgot as I did mine 6 years ago :-)

All fees was shouldered by the company.

If you have Metrash2 Service registered in your mobile you can also try to do the status change thru your mobile instead of visiting Immigration. But I am sure whether they have this service in Metrash2 or not.

First you need to do the visa status change from visit to residence visa by paying QAR 500 as mentioned above. Later you will have enough time (90 days) to complete Medical, Finger print and pay residence visa fee and get the new Qatar ID for her.

thank you all for the information.

As metrash shows, its " Visa ready to use" after i paid 200 once the visa was approved and notified by SMS.

As I understand she need to do the medical examination again and the fingerprint before going to immigration to print RP.

Am i right ?

Go to Gharafa immigration tomorrow early morning and transfer the visa to residence. Follow the procedure in the "Visa Ready to Print" notification from MOI visa tracking system. Metrash has also sent you the same procedure but in Arabic. Fees is QAR500........ 25-7-2015 10:45

You need to take the Original passport and residence visa approval receipt to Immigration and get the visa printed and do the status change by paying QAR 500. If you don't do this before 27th you will get a daily visit visa overstay fine of QAR 200 per day.
