dont do the same mistake with my old rig, an i7 is an i7, even without overclocking, the base speed of the 4790k is 4.00 Ghz, u dont even need to overclock it. as for the Graphics card, in value, there isnt a big difference in both the 970 and 980, thats why go the newer for a couple more $.
i dnt need an i7 the price/performance is not worth it. u can overclocked the i5-K anyway. can reach up to 4.4ghz. plus 8 gb is more than enough for gaming. 16 gb...?? for bragging rights maybe or for potential editing streaming. plus gtx 970 and 980 arent that far 970 can run most of the games very smoothly while the 980 does the same with a little difference. porbably after 2-3 years then we can see how powerful 980, 980ti, titanx are, but right now all the games can be played at max setting with 970.

The specs are ok, but consider the value of some of the products. for the processor go the 4790k (Core i7) as this is needed to game smoothly, the motherboard, and the ram is ok, but go for 16GB xFury Kingston, as for the VGA better go with the GTX980 G1 Gaming series, or R9 290, the 970 had some issues, and never caught on... as for the Power Supply, go for atleast a gold rated PSU, and buy them from ebay, much cheaper, and most are free shipping... i bought most parts of ebay, 20$ less than amazon, on each piece.
There is one place in Softel that offers such high end gaming parts, its called Al Ansari Computer, it is a shop in the corner, just behind the escalators, if you need more information about it, pm me, and i will be more than happy to assist you. Any price he gives, check ebay, and ask for a lower price.
As for the specs, i would recommend going for a 1150 supporting motherboard, (Asus or Gigabyte) as the 1150 series is one of the best series that was ever produced, for the processor, go for the 4790k, the highest and most valuable processor ever produced. RAM here is cheap, my rig is running 32GB RAM, as for the VGA cards, they are a bit expensive here, if you want VGA cards at ebay rates, visit gear-up.me, they have the best prices, with quick shipping from the UAE.
Make sure you get atleast 750Watts worth of PSU if you are aiming to build a system with a high end single GPU and around 1000-1200Watts worth of PSU for 2 GPU's. Also for the HDD, go for a SSD drive for your OS, and a normal HDD for media (2TB's or more).

when you buy a gtx 980ti and play the new arkham knight you will see the difference :p
thats already monster or overkill criteria for any kind of game u want.
