The French Institute of Qatar, the official French Institute, is the successor to the French Cultural Centre (CCF), founded in 1989. It is located in a detached villa in the West Bay district of Doha. The French Institute caries out the tasks Given to it by the French Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs. These are: - to Promote and Disseminate French language and culture. - To Facilitate cultural exchanges (in Both visual and performing arts), to co-produce shows and performances in Qatar connected with French creativity, and to create partnerships with institutions. - To Participate in student mobility and the advancement of graduate studies in France. THUS the program of the French Institute covers the Entire field of cultural, artistic, literary, scientific, educational and linguistic cooperation through Numerous actions: exhibitions, lectures, debates, films, concerts , dance and drama, etc ...
