Sponsorship change

My husband is one of the victims of redundancy of Qatar Petroleum. I also worked in QP but now I don't have no job. Our children are studying in Doha and in our home country. My daughter is studying in grade 12 in an Indian School in Doha, only six months remaining for the completion of her school final after that board examination will start in this peak situation we can not move anywhere from Doha if we move my daughter will loss her education it is very painful. There fore we decided to change the sponsorship and do small business on partnership basis, for that purpose we submitted all documents to government to change the sponsorship. unfortunately the government is not giving approval to change the sponsorship it is rejected, what we should do? we are also human beings we need to live, earn for our bread and educate our children. We are humbly requesting the authority either approve the sponsorship change or re-designate in QP. We are looking forward a positive initiative from the Govt. of Qatar.

Life is not yet over. Always remember that when God closed the door, He opens windows of opportunities for you. God has perfect plans for your lives, it may not be here in Qatar, it might be in your home country. Just trust God that He said in ! Cor 10:13 No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. Jer 29:11For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Trust and surrender everything to God and HE will do the rest.

God bless!

Your daughter will probably do even better in her exams if you take her back and she repeats the year. She will be able to study the same material more than once and would then do very well in the exams.

You say yourself - your husband is no longer working at QP, and the government has rejected your sponsorship transfer. Do you think there is a third, magic, option, that will allow you to stay? You've done your best to find a solution, but there is no only one solution remaining - leave Qatar.

Just be grateful you don't have big loans or financial problems to worry about.

Khan is not aware that the penalty is QR 10 per day for the first three months and QR 20 per day after three months. Although, your are no doubt in a difficult situation, but by staying here and not being able to earn a dirham, will be a very costly experience. I agree with yacine.h that you should look towards returning home. In life, one sometimes needs to make some difficult decisions.

KHAN.

Some people are callous to human suffering. They recommend people to packup and repeat the year and say this is unfortunate. What has fortune go to do with decision. Look for alternative rather than pack up. A friend in need may share the flat for you.

Wow what a smart response from KHAN. So how is she going to pay for her rent? Are you going to do it for her? And don't you know that this is illegal? Are you happy inciting people to do illegal things? I think you should be reported and kicked out of the group.

I agree with Britexapt. You are wasting your time and money here. Pack up and go home as India is rapidly growing and is full of opportunities. As for your daughter, it is sad but there is no solution so she will have to repeat the year unfortunately.

KHAN.

Better overstay for the 6 Months inorder to complete the education of the child.

You need to pay QAR 10/- per day

I am sorry for your plight. However, as Wunae has stated, this is part and parcel of being an Expat. I also faced a similar issue, where my son ended up losing a year of his GCSE education.

I would suggest that you go home, rather than waste your hard earned savings on trying to stay here.

I'm sure there are good times ahead for you :o)

When you move to a country as an expat worker, you do so with the full understanding that at any time, the host country may eject you. Your story is sad, but only one of many. As an expat, once your job is over, you are over. Better to focus your efforts on resettling back home than trying to remain here. The Qatar government is making an effort to kick out as many expats as possible, as quickly as possible, because of the low oil price. Whether or not you have kids at school really isn't their problem.

Your story is sad but I am afraid government officials are not on QL to address your issues. That said, why don't you look for another job? The redundancy thing in QP has been going on for a while so you had more than enough time I assume to find another work. Did you try that first before deciding to start your own "business"?
